However, Skosana remained in the chambers.After several back-and-forth discussions, the committee allowed the proceedings to continue, with Sibiya taking oath.Before beginning his testimony, Sibiya raised concerns about the potential conflict of interest.In response, committee chairperson Soviet Lekganyane said Parliament’s rules limit the committee’s powers regarding member participation or membership decisions.He said the only recourse available was to write to the Speaker of Parliament to alert the office about any issues involving MPs. Proceedings continue on Monday.
