WC OFFICIALS ACCUSED OF SUBMITTING FAKE EDUCATION BUDGETGOOD Party secretary-general, Brett Herron, has laid criminal charges against two Western Cape MECs for allegedly tabling a false budget.Herron claims Mireille Wenger and David Maynier knowingly underfunded education posts by R3.8 billion in the 2024 budget. This was despite the two MECs being warned months earlier that the shortfall would force the education department to cut teaching posts.

MKHWANAZI TELLS ADAMS TO BRING IT ONKwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says he’s ready for whatever may come his way after National Coloured Congress leader Fadiel Adams laid perjury charges against him. At Madlanga Commission of Inquiry probing allegations of corruption and political meddling in the police and judiciary, Mkhwanazi accused Adams of being reckless with sensitive crime intelligence. He further warned that the classified information Adams shared was classified, and only vetted members of Parliament’s intelligence committee have the clearance to access it. Adams dismissed these allegations, counter-claiming that Mkhwanazi acted wrongly by accessing a top-secret police docket and lying under oath.He said, If people are asking me to look the other way, then they must stop complaining about crime, corruption and a failed police service. Mkhwanazi is seemingly unshaken by the looming prosecution acknowledged the charges against him and dared Adams to take him on.

GUNS, GUNS AND MORE GUNSPolice forensics analyst Solomon Modisane says he was the first person to conduct a comparative examination of the guns seized from suspects in the murder of Vereeniging engineer Armand Swart in April 2024.The weapons have been linked to other murders, including that of DJ Sumbody as well as the murders of DJ Vintos and Don Tindleni in Orlando, Soweto.Investigation found that these cartridge cases were fired from the same firearm and bear the same common origin. This specific firearm that I am referring to is a 7.62x39mm Russian Kalashnikov model AK-47, a full-automatic assault rifle. This was revealed before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
